Private Cloud Solutions for Enhanced Protection
Simplifying security for your private VPSies with PCS technology.
Private Cloud Solution (PCS)
is designed to enhance your network security while maintaining simplicity. With PCS, you gain access to features such as a dedicated firewall, NAT options, selective internet access for private VPSies, port forwarding, additional public IPs, source and destination NAT, 1:1 NAT, port blocking, inbound traffic controls, and customizable firewall rules. It’s an innovative solution tailored to meet your security needs efficiently.
Secure your resources in under a minute with a dedicated firewall and full control over traffic flow,
The diagram illustrates a scenario with 4 VPSie(s) within a datacenter – One VPSie is on public network and fully exposed to the internet while the other 3 are added to PCS. Node 1 & node 2 have internet access and node 3 doesn’t have internet access – This is a common scenario with 2 web-servers (node 1 & node 2) serving clients and one database server (node 3), While all 3 nodes can have direct private connection to each others only 2 nodes are exposed to the internet and the database is protected behind PCS.
In the control panel and API
- Dedicated firewall
- Servers in PCS sit behind their own firewall, with rules you write for inbound and outbound traffic.
- Selective internet access
- Give internet access to the servers that need it, such as web servers, and keep the rest fully private.
- NAT options
- Use source NAT, destination NAT or 1:1 NAT to map private servers to public addresses the way your setup needs.
- Port forwarding
- Forward specific public ports to private servers without exposing the whole machine.
- Port blocking and inbound controls
- Block ports and control inbound traffic per server, so only expected connections get through.
- Additional public IPs
- Add public IP addresses to PCS when you need more services reachable from the internet.
Automate it with the API
Firewall groups and rules are available through the VPSie REST API.
Read the Firewall API referencePOST /apps/v2/auth/from/api GET /apps/v2/firewall/groups POST /apps/v2/firewall/create/group { groupName, rules } POST /apps/v2/firewall/attach/group { vmId, groupId }
