Key Features
Firewall is one of the crucial element in an organization cybersecurity effort therefore, we offer one of the best in class appliance based
FWaaS – Firewall as a service.
Traffic Filtering
Firewalls filter traffic based on rules set by the administrator. These rules can be based on IP addresses, port numbers, protocols, and more.
logging and monitoring
Firewalls provide logging and monitoring capabilities to help administrators track and analyze security events and trends.
VPN Support
Firewalls often support Virtual Private Network (VPN) connections to securely connect different parts of the network over the Internet.
Stateful Inspection
Firewalls can track the state of active connections and make decisions based on the context of the traffic.
Here, you have the option to include and set up a firewall that manages network-level access to your VPSie. This involves configuring the firewall to define policies for both inbound and outbound traffic.
Best Practices for Firewall Management in Cloud Environments
Regularly Update Rules and Signatures
Keep firewall rules and signatures up to date to protect against the latest threats.
Restrict Access to Management Interfaces
Limit access to firewall management interfaces to authorized personnel only and use strong authentication methods.
Use Layered Security
Implement multiple layers of security (defense in depth) to protect cloud resources. Combine network-based firewalls with host-based firewalls and other security measures.
Regular Audits and Compliance
Conduct regular audits to ensure firewall configurations comply with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
Define Clear Security Policies
Establish comprehensive security policies that define which traffic is allowed and which is denied.

In the control panel and API
- Reusable firewall groups
- Write a set of rules once, then attach the group to as many servers as you need. Each rule sets direction, protocol, ports, and source and destination ranges for IPv4 and IPv6.
- Macros for common services
- Pick a predefined macro instead of typing ports by hand, and turn individual rules on or off without deleting them.
- VPC-aware rules
- Apply VPC firewall rules to a server. The firewall covers every network interface except those attached to private networks, so internal traffic keeps flowing.
- Roles and team invites
- Build roles from create, read, update and delete permissions, each scoped to any resource or only the user's own. Invite teammates by email with a role attached, or set a role to read-only.
- Locked-down API tokens
- Create long-lived access tokens, restrict each one to a list of allowed IP addresses, and switch a token off without deleting it.
- Two-factor login and logs
- Turn on two-factor authentication, with SMS or email codes as a fallback. Review the account activity log and failed login history, and export backup and billing reports as PDF.
Automate it with the API
Firewall groups, roles and token allowlists are all available through the VPSie API.
