CLOUD DISASTER RECOVERY
Minimize downtime with automated recovery workflows. Replicate infrastructure, trigger failover, and maintain service continuity during unexpected events.
STAY ONLINE, ALWAYS
Enable disaster recovery as a service (DRaaS) to keep your systems operational. Configure backup, replication, and recovery without manual effort.
How does DRaaS work?
DRaaS works by replicating and hosting servers in a third-party vendor’s facilities. This replication ensures that a complete infrastructure is mirrored in fail-safe mode on virtual servers, including compute, storage, and networking functions.
Approaches to Disaster Recovery in VPSie
There are several approaches to disaster recovery in VPSie, including
Hot
The safest and fastest yet most resource demanding
WARM
Processing is needed on live data streams.
COLD
This method’s data replication is faster but less secure.
Benefits of DRaaS
DRaaS offers several benefits to organizations, including:
Data Protection
DRaaS ensures the protection of data and IT infrastructure by replicating and hosting servers in a secure third-party cloud environment
Cost Savings
By utilizing a third-party vendor's cloud infrastructure, organizations can avoid the cost of maintaining secondary data centers.
Accessibility
DRaaS ensures the protection of data and IT infrastructure by replicating and hosting servers in a secure third-party cloud environment
Data Protection
DRaaS allows companies to access their data and applications from anywhere, at any time.
Recovery
We offer variety of DRaaS – Disaster recovery as a service option

Rapid Recovery
DRaaS enables organizations to recover their data and applications with low recovery-time and recovery-point objectives (RTOs/RPOs)
Simplified Operations
By outsourcing their disaster recovery planning to a third party, organizations can simplify their operations and focus on their core business activities.

In the control panel and API
- Scheduled backup policies
- Run backups every set number of hours, days, weeks or months, keep up to 90 per server by default, and delete backups older than a set number of days.
- Free snapshots
- Take a snapshot before a risky change, roll back to it, or create a new server from it. Snapshot policies take them on a schedule.
- Backups in another datacenter
- Store global backups in datacenters that support them, so a copy of the server lives outside its home location.
- Disaster recovery groups
- Group the servers that must recover together, choose target datacenters and policies, and set a grace time before automatic recovery starts.
- Reverse DR
- Turn on reverse disaster recovery so recovery snapshots run in both directions, ready for the move back after an incident.
- Recover to a new server
- Pick any DR snapshot and recover from it. VPSie creates a new server from that snapshot.
Automate it with the API
Backup policies, snapshots and disaster recovery groups are all managed through the VPSie API.
